PM Muhammed Shiaa Al-Sudani affirmed on Monday, Iraq's firm and principled positions regarding the just cause of the Palestinian people and their rights.
Al-Sudani received the envoy of the Palestinian President, President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Jibril Rajoub, and his accompanying delegation, according to a statement by the media office of the Prime Minister, received by the Iraqi News Agency – INA.
Rajoub conveyed to Al-Sudani a message from the Palestinian National Authority President Mahmoud Abbas Abu Mazen, which included thanks to Iraq and its stances in support of the Palestinian cause, and an emphasis on the depth of bilateral relations between the two countries.
During the meeting, Al-Sudani affirmed Iraq's firm and principled stances regarding the just cause of the Palestinian people and the attainment of their rights, as “the Iraqi people are always in the backing of the Palestinian brothers throughout long historical stages."
