Iraqi industry wins two Arab awards for government excellence

    The Ministry of Industry and Minerals announced, today, Thursday, that it won two awards from the League of Arab States in the second session of the Arab Governmental Excellence Award, which launched its activities at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Arab League.

    The ministry said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The first prize was won by Aziz Nadhim Abd, Director General of the General Directorate of Industrial Development, and Huda Qassem Khazal, one of the directorate's employees, for the initiative to support and employ young graduates looking for work and encouraging them to enter the labor market to establish small projects." and medium.”.

    The Ministry added, "While the second award came as the best distinguished Arab government employee, it was won by Falah Hassan Al-Hamidi, an employee of the Industrial Research and Development Authority, for research projects to find solutions to the problems of using disinfectants and sterilizers that cause many diseases such as cancerous, respiratory and digestive and replacing them with disinfectants of plant origin that are safe and economically feasible, as well as Preparing four medical research projects on the use of plant extracts as a treatment for diabetes, cancer and burns.

    The Ministry expressed its pride in winning these two awards, considering it an important achievement for Iraq in general and the Ministry in particular, which reflects the work of Iraqi government institutions and constitutes an incentive to develop performance and government work and enhance the quality of services provided to citizens.
