President of the Republic, Abd al-Latif Rashid, affirmed Thursday the crime of assassinating the leaders of victory must remain condemned and rejected.

President Rashid said in his speech delivered on his behalf by Abdullah Al-Alaywi, during the official forum on the occasion of the third anniversary of the martyrdom of the leaders of victory, which was held at Al-Rashid Hotel in Baghdad, and was attended by the reporter of the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the targeting of the two martyrs Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis and Qassem Soleimani, stroke all moral, legal and political controls, which confirms the greatness, importance and influence of these two leaders in thwarting the enemy's plans and confirms that the approach they followed is the correct approach for the renaissance of the resistance nations and for self-realization.

He explained, "The great administrative biography of the two martyr leaders must be the subject of care, remembrance and contemplation for today's youth and future generations.”

He added, "The crime of targeting must remain a subject of denunciation and rejection, and be a priority for Iraqi political dealings until justice is achieved."

He continued, "I renew my condolences to the families of all the martyrs, especially the families of the two martyr leaders. We also offer condolences to the colleagues and soldiers of the two martyrs, especially the fighters in the liberation battles against terrorism," calling for "continuing to follow the path of the two martyrs."
