Al-Khazali assures the delegation of Shiite scholars of Afghanistan the necessity of adhering to the commandments of the supreme authority

    The Secretary-General of the League of Asaib Ahl al-Haq (AAH) (League of the Righteous), Sheikh Qais al-Khazali, during his meeting with a delegation of Shiite scholars of Afghanistan on Wednesday, stressed the need to adhere to the commandments of the supreme religious authority.


    The media office of the Secretary-General of AAH stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that " The Secretary-General of the League of Asaib Ahl al-Haq (AAH) (League of the Righteous), Sheikh Qais al-Khazali, received in his office in Baghdad today, Wednesday, the delegation of the Council of Shiite Scholars in Afghanistan."


    The statement added, "During the visit, the delegation reviewed the situation in Afghanistan in general, the situation of the Shiites of Ahl al-Bayt (PBUH), and the challenges there, especially after the collapse of the previous regime."

    For his part, Sheikh Khazali stressed that "Iraq's people and government stand with all the oppressed people in the world, led by the followers of the Ahl al-Bayt  (PBUH)in Afghanistan, and Iraq's important role in the issues of the region, and its ability to play this role in serving the causes of the nation and the oppressed peoples."


    He pointed to "the importance of the role played by the supreme religious authority in preserving Iraq and civil peace," stressing "the necessity of adhering to its commandments in Afghanistan ."
