The Italian embassy in Baghdad denied raising a flag that does not represent the country during the meeting of its Prime Minister, Georgia Meloni, with the Prime Minister, Mohamed Shiaa.
"We officially deny the news of the alleged error related to not raising the country's flag during today's meeting of the Italian Prime Minister and the Iraqi Prime Minister," the embassy said in a clarifying statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) .
She added, "The flags used were all of the Italian Republic, and what appeared as a result of visual effects in the filming process."
