The spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Al-Sahaf, confirmed today, Tuesday, that the second Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership represented a platform for dialogues that lead to balance and enhance stability.
Al-Sahaf told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The Baghdad conference, in its second edition, was a witness to the clarity of vision and priorities of the Iraqi government, and a platform for dialogues that lead to balance and enhance stability, and the speeches of the participating countries were the focus of that.
Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein stressed today, Tuesday, during a joint press conference with representatives of the countries participating in the conference, that "the second Baghdad conference is like a dialogue umbrella between neighboring countries and an opportunity to talk about economic and environmental challenges, as well as challenges to food security and energy," noting that "the participants confirmed supporting Iraq's stability and territorial integrity.
The final statement of the Second Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership declared support for Iraq in its efforts to consolidate the state of the constitution and law, strengthen governance, build institutions, achieve comprehensive development, and work to build economic integration, indicating that the convening of this conference in its second session reflects keenness to support Iraq's central role in expanding regional economic cooperation.
