Defense Minister arrives at Umm Qasr Naval Base

Minister of Defense, Thabet Mohammad Saeed Al-Abbasi, on Saturday, arrived at Umm Qasr Naval Base, accompanied by a number of senior security commanders.
 
Ministry of Defense-MoD said in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that “Defense Minister Thabet Mohammad Saeed Al-Abbasi arrived at Umm Qasr naval base, accompanied by the Deputy Commander of Joint Operations, the Assistant Chief of Army Staff, the Army Aviation Commander, and a number of senior commanders and officers at MoD.”
 
The statement added, "The visit of the security delegation came to oversee the units working at Umm Qasr naval base, its infrastructure and the mechanism of work in it."
