The Iraqi Drilling Company IDC announced Wednesday, the completion of drilling operations for the Nasiriyah/52 oil well in Dhi Qar province.
The Director General of IDC, Bassem Abdul Karim Nasser said in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The technical and engineering staff in the company completed drilling the well with a depth of 2100 meters, using the drilling rig 44 IDC with 1000 horsepower," noting that "the well is the sixth completed by the company within the contract concluded with the Dhi Qar Oil Company to drill 20 oil wells in the Nasiriyah oil field in cooperation with Weatherford Company to provide oil services."
He added that "the company is keen to implement the works to ensure applying quality, health, occupational safety and environmental systems and according to the requirements of standard specifications, because the company has obtained during the past month the renewal of grants for conformity certificates in accordance with those systems."
