Baghdad International Airport issued clarified the delay in delivering passengers' luggage.
“The Airport administration would like to clarify to the public opinion and to the esteemed travelers regarding what some social media sites circulated via a video showing some travelers' complaints about the delay in receiving their luggage during their return to the country," said the airport media, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency – INA.
The administration shows that "ground handling services are the responsibility of the Iraqi Airways Company. It is not related to that service, and its work lies in monitoring and following up on all airlines operating at the airport."
"Baghdad International Airport Administration recorded some negative observations for these services, and a warning will be sent to the Iraqi Airways Company in coordination with the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority, in order to reduce the recurrence of such cases in the future, because of the complaints and suffering they cause to our valued passengers,” included the statement.
