Prime Minister Mohammad Shia'a al-Sudani directed on Saturday, to overcome the obstacles facing the implementation of water projects in Samarra district in Salah al-Din province.
"Prime Minister, Mohammad Shia' al-Sudani, chaired a meeting of heads and directors of service departments in Samarra district, during his visit to Salah al-Din province to follow up on the service and security situation there,” said the media office of the prime minister in a statement, received by The Iraqi News Agency(INA).
The statement added, "Al-Sudani listened to a detailed presentation on the service reality of Samarra, the progress of implementing infrastructure and service projects there, and the most important obstacles facing providing services to citizens and meeting their needs."
Al-Sudani stressed that "The local government plans in all governorates must focus on infrastructure projects, which we consider a correct foundation for all subsequent projects, and we have made them among the priorities of the ministerial program."
He also directed, "to take urgent measures to overcome the obstacles facing the implementation of water projects in Samarra district, as well as to distribute fertilizer among farmers in Samarra and throughout Salah al-Din Governorate."
