Al-Sudani affirms the commitment to the constitution to address outstanding issues with KRG

Prime Minister Mohammad Shia al-Sudani received, on Tuesday, the President of the Kurdistan Regional Government-KRG, Nechirvan Barzani, and his accompanying delegation.
 
According to a statement by PM media office received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), " Al-Sudani expressed his appreciation for the importance of unity of positions at the national level, and the need for solidarity and coordination, to confront the economic, livelihood and service challenges in order to secure decent life for all citizens throughout Iraq."
 
Al-Sudani affirmed, "The federal government's commitment to the Iraqi constitution to address outstanding issues, with KRG in a manner that guarantees the rights of all components."
 
For his part, Nechirvan Barzani expressed his optimism in the new government's ability to lead the country to a different stage, in which the language of understandings and solutions prevail."
 
The statement continued, "The meeting witnessed discussion of the security file in the Iraqi border regions, where cooperation was emphasized to preserve Iraq's sovereignty, reject repeated violations, and work to prevent the use of Iraqi lands as a springboard for attacking any neighboring country."
