Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani and Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Jens Stoltenberg discussed today, Thursday, views on strengthening NATO's mission in Iraq.
The media office of the Prime Minister said, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani received, today, a phone call from the Secretary-General of NATO (NATO) Jens Stoltenberg."
He added, "During the call, they discussed strengthening security and military cooperation between the NATO countries and Iraq, in a way that contributes to supporting Iraq's efforts in the field of combating terrorism and ending its remnants," noting that "the two sides exchanged views on strengthening the NATO mission in Iraq, within the framework of providing advice." and training support for the Iraqi security forces, and their levels of readiness and performance.
