Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani directed on Wednesday, for a Supreme Anti-Corruption Commission and its support team to be formed.
"With the direct guidance of PM Al-Sudani, aiming at combating corruption and according to the ministerial curriculum, with nontraditional mechanisms that go beyond the previous negatives, the Integrity Commission formed an exceptional formation,” said the Media Office of the Prime Minister said received by the Iraqi News Agency – INA.
The commission is entitled "The Supreme Anti-Corruption Commission” and this formation aim to accelerate the combating major corruption files and recover those wanted in corruption cases in addition to the public funds that have been abused.
"Al-Sudani also directed the formation of a support team with wide range authorizations, in order to provide full support to the Supreme Anti-Corruption Commission in opening these files. The team is headed by the Director General of the Ministry of Interior, Abdul Karim Abdul Fadel,” included the statement.
Al-Sudani set the team's work procedures to be done by providing all the guarantees required by the constitution and laws, especially human rights.
