MOFA launches electronic inquiry system

    Ministry of Foreign Affairs-MOFA announced on Wednesday, launching the system of electronic inquiry.

    Ahmad Al-Sahaf, spokesman of the ministry said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency INA that “the Ministry launched an inquiry system complementing the previous three systems (audit, citizen, documentation)."in order to automate the work of the Iraqi ministries, and implement the methods of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for developing work in the departments of the Ministry, especially the consular department to serve Iraqi citizens, and reduce the effort and time for the employees working in it, and under the direct guidance of Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Hussein to the team of the electronic support system ICASS, and to complete the work of the team in automating the work of the consular department.

    Al-Sahaf added that the system will enable the citizens to inquire about authenticating of documents issued from consular missions operating abroad, in addition to all the correspondence in their concern without needing to visit the ministry building.

    He explained that will be done by:

    -visiting the link of the ministry: istalam.mofa.gov.iq
     
    -or directly through:  istalamicass.com
     
    - or by reading the QR code by mobile phone at the bottom of the consular document issued by the mission, and by clicking on the link contained therein, to see all incoming and outgoing correspondence.
