Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’a Al-Sudani stressed today, Tuesday that the security file is a red line and the attempt to test the government in it is a failed option. While he confirmed taking steps to improve the ration card and expand the number of people covered by welfare salaries, he announced the move to recover the lands granted to special grades and which were granted exceptions, pointing to the establishment of the Iraq Development Fund, which will be fixed in the budget.
Al-Sudani said in a press conference held in Baghdad that "one of our priorities within the government program is to start providing services, and the engineering and service effort.
Regarding anti-corruption file, Al-Sudani stressed, "We have taken some decisions to combat corruption and others will be issued with the aim of addressing corruption responsibly, and we have formed a specialized committee to follow up on the lands that were distributed among special grades and exceptions, and we will recover it, and in fact there are those who did not find land to live in."
Regarding the crime of killing the American citizen in Baghdad “The timing of the crime puts question marks and security is a red line, and whoever wants to test the government with the security file does not try because it is a failed option." The Prime Minister said.
In the file of economy, Al-Sudani confirmed that the establishment of the Iraq Fund for Development will be included in the budget.
Regarding relations with Turkey, the Prime Minister said, "We have three files with Turkey, which are security, economy and water, and we have $20 billion in trade exchange between Iraq and Turkey, and the security problem must be resolved and the Turkish aggression on Iraqi lands and borders must be stopped," noting that "the water file is critical and requires a clear position."
