Rashid stresses the importance of strengthen security and stability

President Abdel Latif Jamal Rashid stressed today, Saturday, the importance of making efforts to strengthen the foundations of security and stability, while pointing to the need to develop security and intelligence performance to confront any attempts to threaten societal peace and security.

The Presidency of the Republic said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Rashid, received, today, in Sulaymaniyah, the general managers and a number of senior officers of the Ministry of Interior in the Kurdistan Region," noting that "the delegation offered congratulations and blessings on the occasion of his election as president. The Republic, wishing him success in performing his duties in the service of our people and in a manner that achieves their aspirations for a free and dignified life.

The President of the Republic stressed the importance of making efforts to strengthen the foundations of security and stability, in a manner that consolidates the rule of law and the application of justice to achieve equality among all, pointing to the need to develop security and intelligence performance to confront any miserable attempts to threaten societal peace and security by monitoring crime and terrorism hotspots.

Rashid praised the "blessed efforts made by the security services in the region and Iraq in general to maintain stability and protect citizens, their rights and their public properties."

In turn, the members of the delegation reviewed future plans and programs prepared for the work of the Ministry of Interior in the Kurdistan Region, stressing their permanent readiness to maintain security and peace.

They expressed their thanks and pride for the valuable instructions of the President of the Republic and his interest and care for the work of the security services.
