The coordinating framework authorizes Al-Sudani to choose the ministries

The coordination framework announced the authorization of the Prime Minister-designate, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, to choose the ministries, and to exclude the Interior and Defense ministries from quotas .

Al-Attar said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that it "held its regular meeting, today, Thursday, to discuss the formation of the government to overcome the obstacles facing the Prime Minister-designate.".

He added that "during the meeting, the Prime Minister-designate, Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani, was authorized to choose the ministries that relate to the electoral framework after the political forces submitted the lists of their numbers and representatives with live signatures and candidates according to the criteria of the Prime Minister-designate on a range of ministries."

He added that "the coordination framework authorized the Sudani to choose between candidates or propose new ones," noting that "the prime minister-designate was also authorized to rotate ministries between components or within the component, and to exclude the ministries of interior and defense from the quotas and to nominate civilian or military figures.
