Regarding the Service’s handling of the demonstrations, Al-Shatri explained, "There is no direction or decision by the security forces to target the demonstrators, but some forces are not good at dealing with the demonstrators, and this is what caused some mistakes that we are keen not to repeat in the future."
Regarding the extent of cooperation with the security authorities in the Kurdistan region, Al-Shatri said, "We have dealings with the security authorities in Kurdistan through joint security operations, intelligence efforts and joint committees, but this cooperation does not meet the ambition at the present time," stressing the need " of representation and presence of all our security services in the Kurdistan region, in return, to find representation for the people of those provinces in the federal security services, especially since the political factor is working to raise this situation.
And regarding what the Service needs, he indicated that “the most important thing is to complete the legislation related to the security and intelligence services, in order to reach a complete intelligence and security community, which contributes to pushing risks from the country, by submitting such legislation to the Parliament .
