Defense Minister, NMI Commander discuss ways to enhance coordination and partnership

Defense Minister Juma Inad Saadoun and the Commander of the NATO mission in Iraq, Lieutenant General Giovanni M. Iannucci, discussed, on Tuesday, frameworks of cooperation, coordination, and expansion of partnership.

" Defense Minister Juma Inad Saadoun met in his office, at the ministry's headquarters, the commander of the NATO mission in Iraq, Lieutenant General Giovanni M. Iannucci, and a number of NMI advisers, the meeting was also attended by a number of senior officers at the Ministry of Defense,” Defense Ministry said in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

The statement added "the two sides discussed frameworks of cooperation, coordination, and expansion of partnership at the level of training, in addition to providing expertise in all aspects of the military institution to develop the capabilities of the Iraqi army."
