The Iraqi parliamentary delegation headed by Shakhwan Abdullah held talks with his Jordanian counterpart on Wednesday on bilateral relations and ways to unite efforts and overcome crises.
The media office of the Deputy Speaker of the parliament said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "on the sidelines of the ongoing events and meetings of the Inter-Parliamentary Union currently held in Rwanda’s capital Kigali, the Iraqi parliamentary delegation headed by Shakhwan Abdullah Ahmed, with the Jordanian delegation headed by Haitham Al-Ziadin held official talks on bilateral relations between the two neighboring countries."
"The two sides discussed ways to unite efforts and support them to face challenges and overcome crises to achieve security and stability throughout the region and reduce tensions, especially as there are common borders and historical and cultural relations linking the two peoples," the statement added.
