A high-level security delegation headed by Chief of the General Staff of the Iraqi Armed Forces Abdel Emir Yarallah and Deputy Commander of Joint Operations Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Al-Shammari arrived today in Basra.
The Joint Operation Command (JOC) said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA),”A high-level security delegation headed by the Chief of the General Staff of the Iraqi Armed Forces Abdel Emir Yarallah, the Deputy Commander of Joint Operations, Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, the Commander of the Ground Forces, Lieutenant General Qassem Al-Muhammadi, the Army Aviation Commander, and a number of security commanders arrived in Basra province.”
The statement added, "The delegation's visit aims to oversee on the security situation in the province and to determine the readiness of the naval force command and to secure our territorial waters."
