We dealt with the protests in Dhi Qar wisely and effectively, Sumer Ops Commander says

    The commander of Sumer operations Command, Lieutenant-General Saad Al-Harbiah, confirmed on Tuesday, that the security forces dealt with the protests effectively and wisely, stressing the arrest of intruders carrying Molotov cocktails during the demonstrations.
     
     
    Al-Harbiah told The Iraqi News Agency (INA)"The protests ignited four days ago in Bab Al-Diwan, and the security forces dealt with them wisely and calmly, in order to cease the Iraqi bloodshed, especially the people of Dhi Qar province," noting that " Some protesters insisted to turn these protests into riots as they were spotted carrying a pistol towards the security forces.”
     
    And he indicated that "some intruders tried to burn the main gate of the governorate, but the security forces secured the governorate building, the civil defense teams, anti-riot forces, SWAT and the army exerted their utmost efforts, and dealt with high professionalism and great patience, in order to cease the bloodshed."
