MOH: We have controlled the Corona pandemic

    Minister of Health, Hani Al-Aqabi, confirmed today, Friday, that the death rates from Corona in Iraq are among the lowest in the world, while noting that the ministry and its staff were able to control the pandemic.

    Al-Aqabi told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "preventive measures in Iraq are continuing, and despite the weak commitment of citizens to the decisions issued, the Ministry of Health and its staff were able to control the disease," noting that "the death rate from the Corona virus in Iraq is among the lowest globally".

    The minister stressed that "the available quantities of the vaccine are appropriate, and we are cooperating with the World Health Organization (WHO) in preparing new quantities when the available quantities run out.".
    Yesterday, the representative of the World Health Organization in Iraq, Ahmed Zuiten, confirmed, today, Thursday, that the organization will publish recommendations to ease more than the procedures for dealing with the Corona pandemic.

    Zouiten told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the easing of preventive measures against Corona has become a foregone conclusion, as all citizens have been liberated from a few preventive measures, due to the prolonged duration of the pandemic.".

    He added, "With regard to Iraq, we have achieved strong outcomes in combating the epidemic, but it is not over yet."
    He pointed out, "There are infections with the Corona virus, so we wait for some time to pass, so that we can give recommendations to mitigate more than preventive measures," noting that there is an expectation that the number of infections will increase in the winter after the weather changes and cools global Health is an entity concerned with all concepts of health around the world, but each country is unique and has strategies to reduce some issues.”
