More than 35kg of illicit drugs seized, FIIA reports

Federal Intelligence and Investigations Agency (FIIA) announced on Tuesday, that it had thwarted the process of bringing (35) kilograms of narcotic drugs into the country.
“The seizure process took place within al-Sulaymaniyah Governorate, based on accurate intelligence information, where (35,900) kg of the narcotic triac were seized, that were placed inside tightly closed aluminum tubes, hidden inside a truck,” FIIA said in a statement , received by The Iraqi News Agency(INA).
The statement added that "The driver of the truck was arrested, the seized materials were handed over to the competent authority to take legal measures."
