President Barham Salih received Sunday an official invitation to attend the Arab Summit in Algeria.
The Presidency of the Republic said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the President of the Republic, Barham Salih, received, today, Sunday, at Al-Salam Palace in Baghdad, the personal envoy of the Algerian President, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the Algerian Minister of Justice."
It added, "The minister conveyed the greetings and appreciation of Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to President Barham Salih, and handed him an official invitation to attend the Arab summit to be organized in Algeria next November," noting that "Salih conveyed his greetings and appreciation to President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and confirmed the acceptance of the invitation to attend the summit, support it, actively participate in it, and make it a success, as it is an important conference to unify efforts and promote joint Arab action.
The statement added, "During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and the importance of working to strengthen them in various fields and joint coordination in a way that achieves common interests, as Arab, regional and international issues of common concern were discussed, and the importance of joint coordination was emphasized to ease regional tensions and end crises in the region."
