Hussain: Iraq's strategy supports the common interests of world's countries

    Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein affirmed today, Saturday, that Iraq's strategy stems from taking into account the common interests with the countries of the world.

    "The Foreign Minister received a copy of the credentials of the new Danish ambassador to Iraq, Christian Turning," Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Al-Sahaf said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

    He noted that "the two sides discussed ways to advance bilateral relations between the two countries, and the importance of enhancing opportunities for cooperation at various levels to meet the aspirations of the two peoples.".

    The minister stressed the "importance of opening wider horizons for constructive cooperation," stressing that "Iraq's strategy in its balanced relations stems from observing common interests with the countries of the world and in a manner that serves progress and prosperity for its people and friendly peoples."
    For his part, the Danish ambassador affirmed "his country's support for social twinning projects through non-governmental organizations," noting that "there is an interest among businessmen in Denmark to enter the Iraqi market.".

    He added that "the Danish Development Agency is interested in supporting electricity and infrastructure projects in Iraq."
