Al-Araji: Iraq is keen on Syria's return to international forums and the Arab League

    National Security Adviser Qassem Al-Araji confirmed Thursday that Iraq is keen on Syria's return to international forums and the Arab League.

     The media office of the National Security Adviser said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Al-Araji discussed, during his meeting with the Syrian ambassador in Baghdad, Sattam Jadaan Al-Dandah, the political and security situation, and the strengthening of relations between the two countries and the two brotherly peoples."

     The statement added, "The meeting discussed the issue of controlling the borders between the two countries and preventing infiltrators, as well as discussing the file of Al-Hol camp," noting that the importance of having joint work between the two countries, with regard to the camp, and the rescue of victims from children, after it became an environment for extremism and terrorism, in preparation for its abolition and the prosecution of criminals of ISIS.

     Al-Araji stressed, "Iraq's keenness on Syria's return to international forums and the Arab League, and the exercise of its role in promoting joint Arab action."
