President Barham Salih, congratulated the new UK Prime Minister Liz Terrace, on the occasion of assuming her duties, while stressing that Iraq seeks to enhance prospects of joint cooperation.
Salih sent on Wednesday, a cable of congratulations to the new UK Prime Minister expressing his "congratulations and wishes for success in her new duties," referring to the "strong relations that unite the two friendly countries," said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.
He stressed, "Iraq seeks to enhance prospects for joint cooperation in various fields in a manner that achieves mutual interests of the two countries and peoples, as well as joint work to establish peace and stability in the region."
