Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein received a copy of the credentials of Johannes Lindert Sande, the new ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Iraq.
A Foreign Ministry statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein received a copy of the credentials of Johannes Lindert Sande, the new ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Iraq, and during the meeting, bilateral relations between Baghdad and The Hague were reviewed, and ways to support it in a way that enhances interests, and facing the common risks between the two countries.
The statement added, "The Minister wished to the Ambassador success in his duties in Baghdad, expressing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' readiness to provide all support to the diplomatic mission to increase the cooperation in various fields, extending thanks and appreciation of the Iraqi people for the Netherlands' positions in support of Iraq."
For his part, the Dutch ambassador affirmed his country's continued support for Iraq in the coming stage, and the Dutch side's aspiration to deepen joint cooperation between the two countries, revealing the existence of cooperation at many levels, including in water management and benefiting from experiences in the agricultural sector, and working to organize visits for university professors to visit Dutch educational institutions and send students to study there, adding that we are working to establish training courses for Iraqi diplomats at a high level in cooperation with the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
