8 terrorist hideouts and 5 missiles seized in Diyala: FIIA

Federal Intelligence and Investigations Agency FIIA announced Thursday the seizure of (8) terrorist hideouts and (5) missiles in Diyala Governorate.

FIIA stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "a force from the Federal Intelligence and Investigations Agency in the Ministry of Interior, in partnership with the Rapid Response Division, embarked on a search and inspection operation in Abu Saida district of Diyala Governorate, to enhance security and stability and pursue the remnants of terrorism."

FIIA added that "the force, in a series of separate operations in the district's areas, managed to seize (8) terrorist hideouts, (5) rockets, (3) assault bombs, (23) rifles and a pistol, as well as quantities of C4, gunpowder, mobile phones and various types of equipment.”

It also pointed out that "the dens were handled by the specialized agency teams, and the seized materials were transferred to the competent authorities to complete the necessary legal procedures."
