The leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, advised today, Tuesday, the demonstrators to withdraw from the building of the Supreme Judicial Council and keep the tents.
Saleh Muhammad al-Iraqi, the assistant of al-Sadr, quoted him as saying, “In the judiciary in Iraq, there are many supporters of reform and those who demand accountability for the corrupt.
He added, " If circumstances were available, I would have continued with the sit-in in front of the Supreme Court”, encourage it to reform and hold the corrupt accountable, but in order to preserve the reputation of the revolutionaries and not to harm the people, I advise to withdraw and keep the tents under the title (Sit-in of the Speicher Martyrs) and (People of Mosul) (Retrieval the stolen funds) and (accounting the corrupt) impartially (the dismissal of the corrupt), (separation of the public prosecution), (an independent and impartial judiciary) and other titles that the people want to achieve.
"And let your sit-in in front of Parliament continue if you wish, for the decision is for the people, and I give advice and you have the decision in all of that, and I am only one of you." Al-Sadr said.
