MOI announces settling 800 tribes’ conflicts in Maysan

    The Command of the Iraqi Emergency Response Division (ERD), at the Ministry of Interior, (MOH) announced on Tuesday, settling of about 800 clan conflicts in Maysan province, some of which extend for 35 years.
     
    "Following the orders of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, to form Maysan Ops Command, the forces deploy and formed committee to settle tribes disputes consisting of the notables, sheikhs of the province and the commander of ERD, who took over the tasks of the head of the committee, according to the orders of Minister of the Interior,” The Media Director of the Rapid Response Command, Brigadier General Abdul Amir al-Muhammadawi, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
     
    Al-Muhammadawi confirmed, that "About 787 clan disputes have been resolved in Maysan Governorate, including 35-year-old disputes."
    He pointed out that "many tribes have begun to come to this committee to resolve their accumulative disputes," Stressing that "since the committee was formed, nearly 800 clan disputes have been ended, in addition to the fact that there are new disputes that are being resolved."
