Iraqi Federal Police announced on Tuesday, the arrest of three wanted persons in cases of human and drug trafficking in Baghdad.
The Federal Police said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that " Within our continuous security efforts to execute arrest warrants issued by the competent courts and to arrest the perpetrators and hand them over to the judiciary to receive their just punishment, a force from the Fifth Brigade, the Second Division, Federal Police, in cooperation with Federal Intelligence And Investigation Agency (FIIA) detachments, and the Anti-Human Trafficking Detachment managed to arrest two suspects, for whom an arrest warrant was issued in accordance with the provisions of Article (18) of the Human Trafficking Law, following a monitoring and investigation operation in (Al-Ghazaliya) area, west of Baghdad.”
meanwhile, a force from the Second Brigade, 1st Division, in cooperation with the brigade's intelligence detachments, arrested a wanted suspect in accordance with the provisions of Article 32 in (Al-Shammiya) district, east of Baghdad, in possession of a quantity narcotic drugs, as the arrestees were handover, along with the duly seized materials, to the competent authorities to complete all the necessary legal and investigative procedures against them.
