A security meeting discusses a plan to protect Saturday's demonstrations

Baghdad Operations Command held today, Friday, a security meeting to discuss a plan to secure protection for the demonstrations tomorrow, Saturday.

The leadership's media said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "the Staff Lieutenant-General, Commander of Baghdad Operations, Ahmed Salim, chaired an expanded security conference attended by the leaders of the advanced headquarters on the Karkh and Rusafa sides, the leaders of the divisions and the directors of the security services operating within the sector of command responsibility."

The media added, "The conference was held to discuss the security plan for securing protection for the peaceful demonstration to be launched on Saturday."
