A member of the House of Representatives from the Alliance of Al-Azm, Talal Al-Zobaie, confirmed today, Saturday, that the Minister of Defense, Juma Inad, informed us that there is no control over the lands where the PKK and Turkish forces are deployed.

Al-Zoba'i said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The House of Representatives, during its hosting today of the foreign and defense ministers and security leaders, discussed the Turkish attacks on Iraqi lands," noting that "most of the deputies demanded to sit with the Turkish side at one table and discuss the attacks and water treatment.".

He pointed out that "the Minister of Defense confirmed that Iraq does not have any control over those lands, and the ministry does not have any presence in those areas where the PKK and Turkish forces are present," stressing that the House of Representatives condemns the Turkish aggression and the PKK's presence in Iraqi lands.

He added that "the Turks have made excuses that their bombing of the PKK is within the areas in which they are present because they threaten the security and stability of Turkey, so they are being chased," stressing the need to "expel the PKK from Iraqi lands and expel the Turkish forces present on Iraqi lands.".

Today, Saturday, the House of Representatives held its extraordinary session, chaired by Parliament Speaker Muhammad Al-Halbousi, in the presence of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Fouad Hussein and Defense Jumaa Inad, the Army’s Chief of Staff, Lieutenant-General Abdul Amir Yarallah, and the Deputy Commander of Joint Operations, Lieutenant General Abdul-Amir Al-Shamri.
