The US Ambassador to Iraq, Alina Romanowski, reiterated the United States' rejection of the attack in Dohuk, stressing her country's support for the sovereignty and security of Iraq.
The media office of the National Security Adviser stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the National Security Adviser, Qassem Al-Araji, received in his office today, Thursday, the American ambassador in Baghdad, Alina Romanowski.".
The statement added, "The American ambassador offered condolences and sympathy to the victims of the bombing that targeted a tourist place in Zakho district in Dohuk governorate, expressing the United States' condemnation of this attack.".
The US ambassador stressed that "the killing of civilians is unacceptable," stressing her country's strong support for the sovereignty and security of Iraq.
The statement continued, "The meeting also witnessed a review of the latest developments on the regional and international arena, as well as a discussion of the Al-Jada'a camp file, and ways to strengthen the bonds of cooperation between Baghdad and Washington, at all levels."
