Egypt condemns the Turkish bombing and affirms its full support for the sovereignty of Iraq

The Arab Republic of Egypt offered Thursday condolences for the victims of the attack that targeted a tourist resort in Dohuk Governorate, Kurdistan, Iraq.

 The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the Arab Republic of Egypt extends its sincere condolences to brotherly Iraq for the victims of the brutal attack that targeted a tourist resort in the Dohuk Governorate in Iraqi Kurdistan, which resulted in the death and injury of a number of civilian Iraqis."  

 It expressed "its condemnation in the strongest terms of this heinous attack," stressing "the need to respect the principles and decisions of international law related to the protection of civilians."

 It affirmed its "full support for the sovereignty of Iraq and its support for the measures taken by the Iraqi government to preserve the security and stability of the country and the capabilities of the brotherly Iraqi people," expressing "sincere condolences to the families of the innocent victims and wishes for a speedy recovery to all the injured."
