    Baghdad -INA
Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi affirmed on Wednesday that Iraq reserves its full right to respond to the Turkish attacks, indicating that it will take all necessary measures to protect its people.

Al-Kadhmi said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the Turkish forces committed a clear and flagrant violation of Iraqi sovereignty and the lives and security of Iraqi citizens by targeting a tourist resort in the Dohuk Governorate in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq today, Wednesday, though the use of artillery.

This attack led to the deaths and injuries of civilians, most of whom are woman and children.

The statement added, "This brutal underscores the fact that turkey  ignored  Iraq's continued demands to refrain from  military violations against Iraqi territory and the lives of Iraqis."

It explained, "as Iraq appreciates and adheres to neighborly principles  and rejects the use of its lands by any party to attack its neighbors, it, in turn, refuses to use security justifications to threaten the lives of Iraqi citizens and attack the territory of Iraq, which is a repudiation of the principles of good neighborliness, international agreements and relations, and joint cooperation.”

It stressed that "Iraq reserves its full right to respond to these attacks," noting that "it will take all necessary measures to protect its people, and hold the aggressor accountable for the ongoing escalation."
