President: We look for improved and vital relations with EU

INA - BAGHDAD Iraqi President Barham Salih and the ambassadors of the European countries to Iraq held a meeting on Sunday, to discuss the future relations in terms of the national will and the reconstruction of the country as well as the modern services. Saleh asserted “the need to support the next government and spare Iraq any regional and international tensions as well as to activate the mutual agreement between Iraq and the European Union, which entered into force in full,” " We thank and appreciate the important support of the European countries,” Saleh added, “more European and international assistance is needed and the next stage will be the stage of serious work to build the Iraqi state and modern democratic rights and freedoms,” For their part, the European Union ambassadors expressed high confidence and optimism in the government to be able to create a state of fruitful and vital harmony and cooperation in the future. The ambassadors also stressed the interest of their countries to further develop relations of cooperation and joint work with Iraq as well as to support the stability and development of its federal democratic system.     @Shahad J Hassan
