Arrest of 3 accused of killing an officer southeast of Baghdad

The Federal Police Command announced on Sunday, the arrest of 3 people accused of killing an officer, southeast of the capital, Baghdad.

"as part of the security efforts implemented by the federal police units to secure responsibility and arrest the wanted persons, a force from the Fourth Brigade, the First Federal Police Division, and within the responsibility sector of the second regiment, managed to arrest three they are accused of murdering an officer with the rank of major attributed to the Diyala Operations Command, following a family dispute,” the Federal Police Command stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

A security team was immediately formed under the command of the second regiment, the fourth brigade, and a detachment of the intelligence effort of the Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency, and after identifying the descriptions of the accused and determining their whereabouts, they were surrounded and arrested in the (Al-Zafaraniya) area, southeast of Baghdad, “it added.

It pointed out that "they were duly referred to the competent authority to complete the necessary legal and investigative measures against them."
