Al-Halbousi and Graham discuss strengthening security cooperation

Parliament Speaker Muhammad Al-Halbousi and US Senator Lindsey Graham discussed on Monday, security cooperation and support for Iraqi forces.

Al-Halbousi received Graham and his accompanying delegation while discussing strengthening bilateral relations and ways to develop them in the economic, cultural and educational fields, as well as security cooperation by supporting the Iraqi forces in facing terorrism challenges. In addition to that, they handled the issue of displaced women and children and the humanitarian situation in al-Hol camp, according to the media office of the Speaker of the Parliament in a statement received the Iraqi News Agency - INA).

During the meeting, they discussed developments in the regional situation, and Iraq's growing role in achieving security and stability in the region, as well as a number of issues of common interest.

Senator Graham affirmed, according to the statement, his country's commitment to supporting Iraq in all fields in order to achieve its security and stability, pointing to the importance of Iraq's active role in reducing tensions in the region.
