Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, Shakhwan Abdullah stressed on Saturday, the importance of continuing to provide services to the Iraqi community in Azerbaijan.
The head of the Iraqi delegation, Shakhwan Abdullah Ahmed and the members of the delegation, Hamid Ahmed Al-Qargoli, Muhammad Al-Rumaithi, and Karim Shakour Al-Daoudi, visited the headquarters of the Iraqi embassy in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, as they were received by Chargé d'Affairs, Makki Al-Maamouri, and senior embassy staff, as the meeting was attended by MP Shaalan Al-Karim and head of the Tourism Authority, Dhafer Mahdi Abdullah, according to a statement by the media office of the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.
The statement included, "The head of the delegation was briefed on the nature of the embassy's work and the mechanisms used in performing the daily tasks, as well as the price of the efforts made by the charge d'affaires and the embassy staff to follow up on the affairs of Iraqi residents and students studying there, while Abdullah stressed the importance of continuing to provide the services and facilities necessary for the Iraqi community in Azerbaijan."
