Iraq announces the new cannon called "Al-Tahadi - Challeng"

The Military Industrialization Authority announced  on the production of an Iraqi cannon called the “Tahadi; Challenge cannon", while indicating that there are requests from the security services to supply the Babel pistol.

"The Babylon pistol was the first experience of typical production. The military industry is a deterrent to peacekeeping in our country,"  said the head of the commission, Muhammad Sahib Al-Daraji, to the "Al-Ashira" TV show on Al-Iraqiya News TV followed up by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

He added, "We seek to produce a military industry that covers part of the needs of the Iraqi armed forces," noting that "the Babel pistol is an Iraqi manufacture in a very large proportion."

"The choice of the name Babel on the new pistol to denote the force," he added, noting that "some foreign experts were hired to supervise the qualitative control of the weapon."

He explained, "The raw materials, some of them are in Iraq and others are imported as most of the parts used in the Babel pistol are completely Iraqi manufacture."

"The general specifications of the pistol were set by officers in the Ministry of Defense, and it is similar to Tariq's previous pistol. The pistol was manufactured according to the special needs of the Ministry of Defense," he included.
