Joint Operations Command identified on Monday, the main goal of a security delegation's visit to Erbil, while noting that cooperation with the Peshmerga is on three main issues.
“The main objective of the visit of a security delegation headed by the Chief of Staff of the Army, Lieutenant-General Abdul Amir Yarallah to Erbil is to extend congratulations and blessings to the Peshmerga forces on the occasion of the appointment of the Chief of Staff of the Peshmerga. As in light of the visit, there was a meeting with leaders and officials in the region," said the spokesman for the leadership, Major General Tahsin al-Khafaji, to the Iraqi News Agency – INA.
He added, "The delegation discussed with officials in the region several files, most notably Daesh file," noting that "cooperation and joint work with the Peshmerga on combating Daesh terrorist gangs, controlling borders."
