SMC: five terrorist arrested and terrorist killed in the Rutbah desert

The Security Media Cell (SMC) announced on Wednesday, the killing of a terrorist and the arrest of 5 others in the Rutbah desert.

The cell said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the men of the Federal Intelligence and Investigations
Agency in the Ministry of Interior dealt a blow that confused the enemy, after they were able to spot a very dangerous terrorist group forming a detachment in the Rutbah desert in Anbar province."

The statement  added, "Coordination and cooperation with the targeting cell of the Joint Operations Command was carried out, and the Air Force aviation was provided with confirmed information about the den in which the elements of this detachment were, as the Iraqi F-16 planes demolished this den," noting that "the army aviation began carrying out an air landing operation," The anti-terrorist apparatus on the targeted place, where the force found the body of a terrorist, while it arrested a wounded terrorist as a result of the strikes.

 
"The forces of the Counter-Terrorism Service were able to pursue a vehicle carrying elements of ISIS terrorist gangs who were trying to escape from the bombing of the planes," It continued.

The statement  stressed that "the results of this operation, which came with confirmed information from the intelligence agency, was the killing of a terrorist and the arrest of five others," noting that "this operation is a tactical operation by all standards, and a great development in monitoring and analyzing intelligence information and drawing up quick and accurate plans."
