Security Media Cell announced Wednesday the discovery of Daesh hideout and the arrest of a suspect wanted in terrorist cases.
A statement by SMC, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "with an intelligence operation characterized by high accuracy, the detachments of the Baghdad Intelligence and Security Directorate, affiliated to the General Directorate of Intelligence and Security, and in cooperation with the 12th Brigade - Popular Mobilization, found a temporary den for terrorists in the Al-Rawad area in the Tarmiyah district affiliated with ISIS gangs, the terrorist group contained foodstuffs and other sleeping pads, as the force seized the materials and destroyed them on site.
In a separate context, the statement added, "The detachments of the Maysan Intelligence and Security Directorate, in coordination with the 5th Maysan Emergency Regiment, arrested one of those suspects in accordance with the provisions of the terrorism article, through his presence in the Maimouna district of Maysan governorate."
The statement added, "The accused was referred to the competent authorities to complete the legal procedures against him."
