Al-Halbousi and the US ambassador stress the importance of supporting the Iraqi forces in fighting terrorism

Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi and US Ambassador to Iraq Alina Romanowski stressed the importance of supporting Iraqi forces in facing the challenges of terrorism.
The media office of the Speaker of the House of Representatives said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the Speaker of Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi, received today, today, the Ambassador of the United States of America to Iraq, Alina Romanowski, on the occasion of the assumption of her new duties."
The statement added, "The meeting discussed bilateral relations, and means to enhance cooperation and partnership between the two friendly countries, which will reflect positively on both peoples, and stress the importance of supporting the Iraqi forces in facing the challenges of terrorism in accordance with the principles of the strategic dialogue," noting that "Al-Halbousi wished the new ambassador success and luck in the performance of its tasks."
Ambassador Romanowski affirmed, "The United States of America looks forward to closer cooperation with Iraq in various fields," stressing "her country's continued support for Iraq in all fields to achieve security and stability."
