Maysan – INA
A security delegation arrived in Maysan province to oversee the build of an earthen dam in Al-Hawizeh Marsh, with a length of 100 km.
The Joint Operations Command-JOC- said in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "The Deputy Commander of Joint Operations, First Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Al-Shammri, accompanied by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Water Resources, the Commander of the Borders, the Director General of Military Engineering of the Popular Mobilization Forces and the Director of Military Engineering in the Ministry of Defense, arrived in Maysan Governorate to supervise the construction of an earthen dam in Al-Hawizeh Marsh.
The statement added, "The earth dam will be 100 km long, for controlling borders and preventing the cases of smuggling and the organized crime."
