Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, Hassan Nadhim, mourned Friday the death of the archaeological expert and former Minister of Culture, Abdul Amir Al-Hamdani, after a bitter struggle with illness.
Nadhim said in the obituary speech received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "With sadness , I inform you, intellectuals and friends, of the death of the archaeological expert and former minister, Abdul Amir Al-Hamdani."
It is noteworthy that Minister Hassan Nadhim had personally intervened earlier to overcome all obstacles in order to transfer Al-Hamdani from Britain to Iraq.
