The Speaker of Parliament, Muhammad Al-Halbousi, discussed today, Thursday, with the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert, the developments of the political situation in the country.
The media office of the Speaker of Parliament said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Al-Halbousi received the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, Jenin Hennis-Plasschaert," noting that "the meeting discussed developments in the political situation in the country, and emphasized the importance of completing the constitutional dues." and the formation of a new government that meets the requirements of the Iraqi people.
He added, "The meeting witnessed a discussion of regional and international situations, and a number of issues of common interest."
